Acid Resistant Made of of raw materials, such as clay or shale of suitable composition with low lime and iron contentm fespar,flint or sand and vitrified at high temperatures in ceramic kilns.
Features of Our Acid Proof Brick Lining:
Acid Resistant Bricks are used for masonry contructions, floorings subject to acid attack, lining of chambers and towers in chemicals plants, lining of sewers carrying industrial effuents, etc to prevent deterioration of the surface by acids except hydrofluoric acid and perchloric acid.
Acid Resistant Bricks are designed primarily for use in chemical and allied industries and are normally used with chemical resistant mortars or Chemicls (as CSNL, Furan, Silicate, Epoxy etc)
Acid proof brick lining provides excellent resistance against chemicals such as strong acids, alkalis, oils, solvents.
Acid Resistant Bricks shall be manufactured in two Classes.
Class Ist Acid Resistant Bricks
Class 2nd Acid Resistant Bricks
Class Ist Acid Resistant Bricks
These are recommended for severe type of corrosive environments as obtained in storage tanks, pickling tanks, etc and also in heavy duty floors subject to frequent contact with corrosives.
Class 2nd Acid Resistant Bricks
These are recommended for floors and working areas which are subject to occasional spillage of acids,fumes and contact with dry chemicals as in fertilizer silos.
Acid Resistant Bricks are brown/Grey in colour for IS-4860 and white in colour for IS-4457 standard
